Water-repellent protective coating for float and extra-clear glass
DESCRIPTION
SIOXGEL is a treatment based on sol-gel technology for the protection of glass by improving water repellent properties of the material. It forms an homogeneous layer of silica permanently bonded to the surface preventing the adhesion of dirt and lime in the microporosity of the glass.
HOW IT WORKS
The product contains nanostructured and functionalized silica gel. Once applied it forms a layer of amorphous silica thin, colorless, transparent, compatible with the substrate. The treatment is able to reduce the surface roughness of the glass resulting in an increase of the resistance to chemical and physical attack and of the natural water resistance of the material.
